STEPHANIE SHUM

STEPHANIE SHUM is Canadian, but we here at Whatantics Entertainment do not fault her for this, but instead embrace the international culture she brings to the group with her Canadian accent.

Stephanie is the life blood of the group without whom we would not be able to produce anything.

JEFF TURNER

Jeff is from Alabama, but sounds British.  That is just weird and we do hold that against him.

JEFF TURNER is an Alabama native but longtime Michigan resident. A graduate of Birmingham Southern College, he has a degree in psychology because they forced him to choose a major. Otherwise, he would have taken every non-business course in the catalog. With degree in hand and student loans the government actually wanted paid back, Jeff left academic life and entered the work force and a string of coat and tie gigs that stretch back many years.

Corporate sellout allowed the school loans to be paid, a home to be acquired and a hot hatch to sit in the driveway. But since that stuff doesn’t impress him (except the hot hatch) or his wife (especially not the hot hatch), he spends his spare time doing what he loves – writing projects for film and print as well as reading, hiking and mocking those who deserve it.

Films as Producer / Writer:

BEING CUSTER (2012) – short film
STATIC (2012) – short film

CANYON PIETRO

CANYON PIETRO, of Boss in Charge Productions, is only 7-years-old but when he’s not riding his bike or scooter, he enjoys making short films.

Canyon prefers doing everything himself – writing, directing, acting and running the camera, but like any inspiring filmmaker he is learning the value of delegating… and giving orders.

When Canyon is ready to make a film, he sits on his dad’s lap and tells the story and dialogue as his father types. He then draws pictures of his characters and the action for storyboards and works with his actors in setting up the shots. Sometimes he works behind the camera and sometimes he makes his dad shoot, depending on whether he is acting in the scene or not.

Canyon has a long career ahead of him in filmmaking… as long as he does his homework first!

Films as Writer / Director:

BOX FACE (2014) – short film
WOLF BOY (2015) – short film

MARC MYERS

MARC MYERS’ diabolical quest for world domination began when he was a wee lad impersonating his hero, Orson Welles, as he insisted on controlling every aspect of his neighborhood films with friends.   Soon, he took this menacing trait to film school where it was met by fierce competition that only delighted the sinister Myers who revelled in his superiority over the mindless minions who depicted themselves as the next Steven Spielberg and David Lynch.

Marc Myers is most noted for coining the phrase, “Gubba!”
